Last week the parish Spotlight was on "Walking with Moms in Need."
Walking with Moms in Need is a nationwide initiative to increase support for pregnant and parenting mothers in need. We work to ensure that any woman who finds herself unexpectedly pregnant, or parenting in difficult circumstances, can turn to her local Catholic Church and be connected with the resources she needs. This week's Spotlight is on the Legion of Mary.

The Legion of Mary is a worldwide organization in which Catholic men and women sanctify themselves through prayer and spiritual work in union with Our Lady and under the guidance of a priest.
They visit shut-ins, hospitals, and nursing homes; visit families in the parish to foster Catholic devotions; door-to-door evangelization; RCIA sponsorship; religious instruction; and visit prisoners. And they are hosting coffee and donuts after the 9am Mass this Sunday.

(above and below) Coffee and donuts were served last Sunday by the Welcome and Engage Committee. Despite a bad weather forecast about 150 adults and children enjoyed donuts, coffee, juices and fellowship.

The Knights support and lead a wide variety of ministries, including “Coats for Kids” and “Keep Christ in Christmas” campaigns. This month they will host a pancake breakfast for Catholic Schools week and serve breakfast for the Ministry Leadership Workshop.
