OLL News: Needy Children & Seniors
Note In The Pocket
provides clothing to impoverished and homeless school children in Wake County. On
, Parishioner Tammy West led our team members as they sorted, folded and prepared donated clothing for delivery to specific children. Tammy noted that each child receives a personalized bundle of clothing which includes shirts, pants, socks, shoes, undergarments, coats and other items. (third photo below)
This ministry was started by an OLL parishioner (Dallas Bonavita) and many OLL parishioners currently support the ministry. They would welcome your donations of new or gently-used clothing at 5100 Lacy Ave. (

Our OLLS 7th graders
showed their care and support for our senior citizens during the annual
Senior Citizens Mass and Luncheon.
From helping some of our physically challenged seniors navigate into the curch and from the church to the Fallon Center, to serving a delicious luncheon (We are really going to miss you, Mary Dudas!), to managing the distribution of mementos... their care and consideration were heartwarming!
Thank you kids (and teachers and parents)!
The Lourdes Bounty Community Garden
is managed by enthusiastic parish volunteers and funded through donations. This is our fourth garden season and we have donated more than 2100 pounds of food to Plant a Row for the Hungry, with 1000 pounds of that food raised this season alone!
A donation in any amount to the SeedMoney Campaign, in process only until December 15, could help make us eligible for an additional garden grant.
Would you go online TODAY,
and make a gift? We are grateful for the chance to work in our beautiful garden. Your donation will help us continue our work. Thank you for your consideration!
