OLL News: Life and the Altar Guild
Three articles this week: two on life issues and one on our Altar Guild
The Altar Guild
meets at 1130am on the 2nd Thursday of every month. Anyone willing to help keep the church beautiful is more than welcome. Bring your own lunch, desserts and drinks are supplied. There is a brief "business" session and usually a relevant speaker.
The photos are from the January meeting, during which Father Keane spoke to a enthusiastic turnout on Medjugorje.
NC Rally and March for Life
was held on a very cold (but dry) day on January 18th. Photo below is of the crowd gathered in downtown Raleigh for the rally. After the speeches were over the growing crowd marched to demonstrate their support for life at all stages.
Earlier that day, many OLL parishioners attended the 21st annual
NC Right-to-Life Prayer Breakfast.
The keynote speaker was the father of a delightful 17-year old daughter with Down Syndrome. His talk enlightened us all on what one small girl can accomplish in the pro-life ministry. It was engaging, inspiring, entertaining and encouraging.
