OLL News: Jean, Altar Guild, News
We usually check the weekly parish bulletin to find out about upcoming events that are suitable for this newsletter. Well, there aren't a lot of things scheduled for the parish or Raleigh while the Coronavirus pandemic continues. I'm writing about this because, more than usual, I need your help to obtain pictures and articles about interesting happenings in our parish.
My email address is
greatly appreciate photos and articles/information
regarding recent past events that you'd like to share with the parish. Please keep it to parish events or events in which OLL parishioners played a significant role.
Beware: I am a ruthless editor ...and I will frequently severely prune text and photos (even mine) that challenge my (already short) attention span. Nothing personal.
To you brave souls willing to stick your necks out ...thank You! I know there are interesting things happening. Show and tell us about them. Please.
My name is Jean and I am the new Youth Ministry Assistant here at Our Lady of Lourdes.
I’m about to graduate from NC State with a degree in biology and journalism. I’ve been involved in my school’s Catholic Campus Ministry for three years and before that I was involved in my youth ministry at St. Thomas More. Youth ministry gave me the tools and fellowship I needed to continue following Christ in college and my mission to is to give teens what they need to do the same.
In Jesus and Mary,
Most Altar Guild meetings
fill the Fallon Center hall. Well, not when we're dealing with a Coronavirus pandemic. But that didn't stop the more adventurous members. A small gathering... but fulfilling anyway. And the Irish food was a treat so near to St. Patrick's day .....especially when so many of us were in self-imposed isolation on the Irish Saint's holiday.
Stay safe and know we are praying for you.
