Deacon Tom Mack
We celebrate Deacon Tom Mack's 20 year anniversary of the ministry of service to the Lord and the People of God. Ordained on June 24, 2000 as a Permanent Deacon in the Diocese of Bridgeport, CT., he and wife Sheila relocated to North Carolina and the community of Holy Infant Church in Durham for eight years. In 2009 he joined the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes and has been involved in numerous ministries. Deacon Tom assisted at Mass and liturgical celebrations, and was an active member of the Yokefellow Prison Ministry, Habitat for Humanity, and Nursing Home Ministry.
We celebrate and give thanks for all of our deacons, and especially this day for Deacon Tom Mack.

Spiritual Adoption - Month Four - Developing Bab
Well, your little baby now weighs six ounces. He/she has fingernails and eyelashes. He/she has his/her own unique fingerprints, which will remain the same until he/she dies. His/her tastebuds are working. His/her sense of hearing is developing and present at 14 weeks. There are no major developments anymore. Your spiritually adopted baby is already well-formed, internally and externally. All he/she needs now is time to gain weight and grow strong. What a miracle he/she is!
