Our Prayer Blanket Ministry
From the OLL Ministry Directory - "The Prayer Blanket Ministry is for everyone in the parish, their family, and friends who are in need of prayer and comfort during a serious illness. In time of anxiety and suffering, people need to know they are covered in love and prayers by the faith Community of Our Lady of Lourdes. Each blanket is sewn by a member of the parish, blessed by the pastor at a special Mass, and includes special prayers and a letter of encouragement. Blessed blankets are a gift from the parish.To make a request or volunteer to sew, call the contact person for this ministry."
For the last 18 years that person has been Judy Cabaniss!!! (on the left)
Judy has to step down now ...and we owe her many thanks for all she has done for us, her parish! Thank You Judy!
Our Lady of Lourdes parish needs this ministry! Its time for someone new to step forward and pick up the reins. Someone reading this email!
